Water-Treatment
BERAHN®-Carbon can be used for water cleaning – directly from a Complete Recycling System-BERAHN®– without any after-treatment.
Together with an independent institute we took some customary water from the local municipal utilities company (Magdeburg) and added
BERAHN®-Carbon.
The bowl with water and BERAHN®-Carbon was open and stationary for 70 days. This mixture had to sustain direct sunlight and
variable surrounding temperatures between 10°C and 40°Celsius. |

Next to an explicit improvement of the total organic carbon factor of under 1.0 mg/l also the mineral household was optimized.
The customary water had a considerable higher quality after the treatment with BERAHN®-Carbon.
In our office we use BERAHN®-Carbon for our small aquarium hosting some ornamental fishes (see picture above). The lower ground consists of BERAHN®-Carbon.
This aquarium runs completely without a filter for water cleaning and is therefore very energy saving.
Also imaginable is an application of BERAHN®-Carbon in a greater scale for instance to avoid the collapse of a lake or as an addition to
waste water-treatment plants.
